British Council IELTS PRIZE and Global Opportunities

Millions of students’ hopes to enhance their academic and employment opportunities overseas have been hampered by the Covid-19 Pandemic. East Asia has the highest number of students interested in studying in the United Kingdom, North America, or Australia. IELTS, the world’s most popular high-stakes English proficiency examination, has long been a prerequisite for international students. ‘The IELTS Prize recognizes those high-achieving students who exhibit academic brilliance and a desire to achieve during overseas study,’ stated Steve Adams, Director Examinations for the British Council in East Asia. More significantly, they demonstrate a desire to use what they learned while overseas. More significantly, they demonstrate a commitment to use what they learned while overseas to help their communities when they return home. It is an honor for us to assist these gifted individuals in making their mark in a constantly changing world. One way students may prepare for the future is through international study.
