Development of Intercultural Communication Skill Over time
Intercultural communication refers to the communication with other cultures by understanding the norms, values, beliefs, thoughts, approach of those cultures. In response to this, the skills of the intercultural communication is referred to the skill requirement to know the other culture language, norms, values, standards, customs etc and the skill is required for the purposes of communication effectively in response to sharing information with the people from other culture and sharing the information from the other social group culture. Development of Intercultural Communication Skill depends on the cultural diversity and cross cultural adaption .
To development of the intercultural communication skill over time is the very important phenomenon because in this global world we have to interact with people from different whether it could be personal issue, it could be business issues, it could academic issue, or it could be while communicate with the staff from different cultures or different cultural occasion of different cultured people and all of these required the development of the intercultural communication skill as the interaction with global people is the common matter now a days way.
In response to the illustration of evidence of the Development of Intercultural Communication Skill by the following ways:
- Respect to other culture as the golden role
- Open mindless to know and understand the other culture through self education
- Be genuinely inquisitive in the form of nonverbal communication like gesture, posture, facial expression,
- Practice of using proper words related to the culture with which you are dealing
- And most importantly the communications skill Acculturation by the way of cross cultural adaption in response to the collaborative efforts as having familiar and habituated with that particular culture with which someone is dealing. (Tropello, 2017)
In response to the incidental issue of while it is required share information in business purpose with other culture people, in that case business client may face problem initially but when they will be able to adapt the intercultural communication it will be great advantageous for them in the study purpose and it is required to know as well as understand the language, norms, standard, values customs of that culture and having the proper respect on it. In the Incidents incurred during the time of email communication on other occasions of social conversation, it is required to have skill of intercultural communication. In the global world many people come to different countries for higher education and in that case in academic issue it became the requirement to have the skill development on the aspect intercultural communication thus know that culture properly. And it is seen that they have to involve in group discussion as solve the study problem, doing the assignment, in that case group members may face problem initially bit when they will be able to adapt the intercultural communication it will be great advantageous for them in the study purpose. So, share information accurate with people from other cultures and the people from different social groups, thus the skill development by the way of language skills development, understanding norms, customs, values, standards, social mores etc. Overall, it must have the willingness to accept the culture differences and adapt with them.
